i carry your heart

i carry your heart with me

by ee cummings

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
                                                      i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

In loving memory of Naya Jane Manalo. July 24, 2011 - September 14, 2011

    Dear Jamie,
I am in awe of your courage and strength. You are wise beyond your years. My life has been forever impacted by the honesty and emotions that you so graciously shared each evening. You have shown the true essence of the joy and pain that comes with being a mother. You and Danny could not have fought any harder for Naya. Naya could not have fought any harder for you. Your faith in letting her lead you will bring you peace. Naya will forever be like the shooting star in the night sky that is gone too soon. Brilliant for a brief moment in your lives but in your hearts forever.
I have never met you Jamie so I feel like I should thank you for allowing me to follow you on your journey. I have daughters your age so as a mother you touched a chord in me that wanted to reach out to you. I have known your Dad for a long time.
My thoughts will be with you, Danny and Ty and your loving family,

  54. A Child Goes to Heaven
    by Linda Ann Henry

    A child goes to Heaven
    On angel's wings,
God is waiting at the gate
For all in Heaven to sing.

    Her mother had much sadness
    To see her child go,
Yet she knew God was calling
Her tears and heart told her so.

    A child goes to Heaven
    A beautiful light comes in,
    When her mother saw it
    She felt peace within.

Her child would no longer be hurting
She went to Heaven in God's special care,
A child goes to his Heavenly Father's heart
and will soon meet her mother there

My heart is breaking wide open for you and I cannot imagine your pain. She was a brave, brave soldier and you have been the most amazing mother. I know no words can take away your pain but her pain has ended and I hope at some point that brings you comfort. We never know why God calls some angels sooner but I truly believe little Naya touched a LOT of people in her 7 and a half weeks on earth. Most people don't accomplish in a lifetime what she did in 2 months. God Speed, Naya....and thank you for a beautiful lesson on strength and perserverance....

  93. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my grandparents and mom several years ago, but even I can't begin to imagine the amount of pain that must be felt losing a child. From reading your blog, I can see that you and your family have an amazing amount of strength, Naya was so lucky to have such a wonderful and loving family. Please know that you are in my thoughts. <3

  94. I can't begin to say how hard it hit me to read the news. I had the privilege of being mentored by Dan in the months leading up to your wedding as well as the months as he prepared for fatherhood. I was able to witness the pure love and excitement he had to become a husband and a father, and after leaving LEVEL I told many people about your family and how excited I was for you to welcome your baby girl. Naya was in my prayers everyday since I had heard she was sick and it broke my heart to just imagine what you were going through. I have always had a strong trust in God's plan but I must admit that this one is hard for me to understand and she was in my thoughts all day today.
What I do know is that there is a plan, and it must be an important one. I know that the harder the pain a heart endures the stronger and bigger it grows even when it is feeling its weakest. I know that you and Dan will have a love that can endure anything and Ty will grow to be a man wise beyond his years with a very big heart. And you each will have a guardian angel for every step of the way.

I know this may not be much condolence from someone you barely know but know that Naya's strength that was beyond her little body has made an impact on my heart that I will carry the rest of my life. I thank her and your family for reminding me that life is precious and you will stay in my prayers.

  98. hello, i have posted before and just checked in for an update. i am so sorry. when my father died, a guide told me that he was with me anyway. and so i then found him here as one of the spirits guiding me and protecting me. Naya is with you, too - not because it is a kind thing to say, but because someone has to tell you that she is with you and will continue to be with you to guide your life. i think she wanted to to meet you? your voice is reaching so many people and causing them to feel love in their hearts now, when they weren't really paying attention to others - reaching out and loving someone they had never met, and yet loving anyway. when you send unconditional love to someone, you open your heart in a way that it is not possible to do otherwise. so, you Jamie and Naya, with your voice and past your pain, you have brought love back to all of us who are writing back and all of us who only just read your words. you caused us to re-think and appreciate. thank you so much for sharing and creating this energy. you will be well and you will see Naya and what she is creating for you. thank you.

  101. Oh Jamie. I am so sorry to hear about Naya. I was catching up with everything on your page tonight after I put my boys to bed and I was so sad to hear the news. I wish there was something I could do for you but unfortunately I can not do the one thing for you that you want most. I know that Naya is in Heaven with God and see will be watching down over you and your family. My God help you through this time and may your faith stay strong. God Bless,
